The 2016 feature is directed by Hideaki Anno (NEON GENESIS EVANGELION Franchise, LOVE & POP) and Shinji Higuchi (BULLET TRAIN EXPLOSION, SHIN ULTRAMAN) with screenplay by Anno and visual effects by Higuchi.
