Yamazaki also directed “Godzilla the Ride: Giant Monsters Ultimate Battle” (ゴジラ・ザ・ライド大怪獣頂上決戦, Gojira za Raido Daikaijū Chōjō Kessen) for Seibuen Amusement Park in Tokorozawa City, which opened during the park's 2021 renovation. The production team behind GODZILLA MINUS ONE -- Director Takashi Yamazaki, the visual effects company Shirogumi Inc., and Toho -- have now reunited for the new attraction, which has been officially named "Godzilla The Ride: Great Clash" ( ゴジラ・ザ・ライド グレートクラッシュ, Gojira za Raido Gurēto Kurasshu). Looking to surpass the high levels of quality and entertainment of “Godzilla the Ride: Giant Monsters Ultimate Battle," the team has gone all-out to create the world's best splash ride attraction that will exceed audiences expectations with stunning visuals and powerful sound, as well as thrilling ride motions and water and wind effects.
In collaboration with Brogent Technologies, "Godzilla The Ride: Great Clash" will be distributed to over 40 international facilities that use the company's i-Ride system, reaching Godzilla and theme park fans not only in Japan, but all over the world. The ride will premiere at Seibuen Amusement Park on August 1st, with the international rollout to follow, providing the perfect finale to Godzilla's 70th anniversary!
■ Key Visual and New Mechagodzilla, "KIJU type 0‐G BREAKER‐" Unveiled!
The highlight of "Godzilla The Ride: Great Clash" is the newest incarnation of Mechagodzilla, the "KIJU type 0‐G BREAKER‐" (ゼロ式機獣 G ブレイカー, Zero-shiki Kijū G Bureikā), designed by Takashi Yamazaki exclusively for this ride, who engages in combat with Godzilla in the ocean! Guests will be caught up in the fierce battle unfolding before their eyes, experiencing overwhelming thrills with their entire bodies.
This film depicts the search for Godzilla, who is lurking undersea, aboard the state-of-the-art drone ship, "Goose" (グース, Gūsu), which can travel underwater, on the surface, and in the air. The drone disembarks from the "Goose Nest" (グースネスト, Gūsu Nesuto), the flagship vessel of EDGE - the Emergency Defense against Gargantuan Encounter (巨大生物緊急防衛部隊, Kyodai Seibutsu Kinkyū Bōei Butai) team. To help guests enjoy "Godzilla The Ride: Great Clash" even more, they will witness an introductory pre-show room before they board the ride, drawing them further into the world of Godzilla.
On July 1st, Toho and Seibuen Amusement Park released a powerful key visual (see top of article) depicting the new Mechagodzilla, the Goose Nest and the Goose drone ship.

Yuhi-kan, a historic movie theater with seats that move in sync with the images projected onscreen, stands on the Sunset Hill of Seibuen Amusement Park. The Goose Nest is also houses a Godzilla suppression weapon, the KIJU type 0‐G BREAKER‐, in its hangar.
Supported by tense background music, guards (aka actors) dressed in EDGE uniforms direct the new recruits (aka guests) on their mission to locate and defeat Godzilla at sea. Large monitors in the room show footage of Godzilla's recent coastal attacks and provide detailed schematics of the Goose Nest, plus a mockup of the KIJU type 0‐G BREAKER‐ .
