Toho Co., Ltd. (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President & Chief Executive Officer: Hiroyasu Matsuoka) will begin the production and distribution of new Godzilla ride attraction footage for the i-Ride system, manufactured by Taiwan's Brogent Technologies, Inc. and installed in multiple countries around the world.

Currently using the temp title "New Godzilla: The Ride" (新・ゴジラ・ザ・ライド, Shin Gojira za Raido), the new attraction film will be directed, written, and VFX produced by Takashi Yamazaki, winner of the 96th Academy Award for Best Visual Effects for the hit GODZILLA MINUS ONE (ゴジラ-1.0/ゴジラマイナスワン, Gojira Mainasu Wan, 2023).

Takashi Yamazaki also directed “Godzilla the Ride: Giant Monsters Ultimate Battle” (ゴジラ・ザ・ライド大怪獣頂上決戦, Gojira za Raido Daikaijū Chōjō Kessen), which opened in 2021 and still being shown at Seibuen Amusement Park. This attraction shocked the world with its high quality and overwhelming scale that overturned the conventional wisdom of rides, receiving high praise from attendees with a 99% experience satisfaction rate.* It also won the Grand Prize at VFX-JAPAN Award 2023.

For "New Godzilla: The Ride", the production team behind GODZILLA MINUS ONE -- Director Takashi Yamazaki, Shirogumi, and Toho -- have reunited to provide a soul-stirring ride experience that surpasses “Godzilla the Ride: Giant Monsters Ultimate Battle.”

In addition, the "New Godzilla: The Ride" footage will be distributed in collaboration with Taiwan-based Brogent to over 40 facilities around the world, including Japan, that have introduced the company's i-Ride ride system, reaching Godzilla and theme park fans not only in Japan but all over the world.

Please stay tuned for further details, such as the ride's full title, monsters, and screening locations.

    ■ Comment from Director Takashi Yamazaki of Shirogumi Co., Ltd.

We have been given the opportunity to try our hand at the Godzilla Ride again.

Where will it take place this time, what kind of formidable enemies will appear, and what will we witness this time?

As a self-professed ride enthusiast, I can't help but feel excited when I think about my first time riding this ride.

I'm working hard day and night with the staff to create the most terrifying ride in the world.
