This is the only 2014 Best Picture nominee I've seen and I quite enjoyed it. It's very kooky and sometimes the characters/ actors say things that are a little obvious (which I think is intentional), but there are very human moments scattered throughout that makes you feel for these crazy people. Michael Keaton definitely carries the movie and I think it's great he's getting back in the spotlight. The movie seems to make fun of modern day blockbusters, but considering how 'prestigious' the characters try to be I don't think an exact side is ever taken.
