22. House of Frankenstein (1944)
It feels like it's better than Wolfman meets Frankenstein, but it's still kind of off. I think it's hilarious that Dracula is just out by the road somewhere, WAITING.
Karloff is fun to watch, but nobody else matches up to him. Maybe Chaney, but he always feels like he's just treading water and doing the same bit with variations on the same lines from the last half of The Wolf Man. Which isn't his fault really, it's just what they've boiled his character down to. I still think, because of the multi-monster formula that this is the most fun I've had since Son of Frankenstein. I believe that if I had seen the trailer and gone to see this movie I'd have been super disappointed to find out that Dracula never faces off against Frankenstein's monster or the Wolf Man.
