Yeah, those really should be in spoiler tags...at least a few of them. I'm loving the concept art though.

Well it looks like the first few reviews are in and it's looking primarily very positive. The couple negative reviews I've spotted are mostly just not happy with the acting and some of the dialogue. But so far for most reviewers it looks pretty positive.

Eh, reviews mean nothing to me. When I've seen crappy movies in the past, I've gone back to read some of the "comments" reviewers and critics have said and when a critic posts "Not even close to the best movie of the year" and marketing pulls "The Best Movie Of the Year" or "If you were going in expecting an amazing spectacle, think again" and we get "Amazing Spectacle" then what does a person't review even mean?

I mean who really gives a "OH GODZILLA! WHAT TERRIBLE LANGUAGE!" if Joey Slapnuts from the National Review cares because we don't what his view on the subject is, what he likes in a movie, what he ate for breakfast, did his imaginary girlfriend just dump him etc....

I mean it's fun to watch the monkeys over at TK spiral down to internet arguments over reviews but the reality is, go see the movie for yourselves and decide.

Then you can write a meaningless review.
You must show no mercy, nor have any belief whatsoever in how others judge you... for your greatness will silence them all!

Well, the reviews I've read are not good, one stating that the film lacks substance. I wish he would have clarified what he considers as "substance". Another stated that while not a bad film it only reinforced his appreciation of the first Godzilla and the talents of the men who made it. I'm satisfied that it is a restoration of sorts from the debacle of '98. Godzilla is getting some of the respect back that has been lost because of that one.

Most of the reviews I've read have been good. If anything, the one constant good thing has been Godzilla. Most of the criticism has been the slow build up or the human element. Thursday needs to be now.

Most of the reviews I've read have been excellent. I wouldn't worry too much about them.

A few reviews talking about the heavy exposition from the human characters, which also based on a few comments I've read on other forums, is giving me the impression of Gamera 2's human scenes.

IGN review gives Godzilla a 9 out of 10.... I like the one quote where they said they evenly balance him out to be portrayed as both savior and destroyer..something to that effect. I can't believe it's almost here....bring on Thursday!

Rotten tomatoes has it at 87% after 17 reviews. That's pretty solid so far.
