Gigan's waist looks
much better in these images, and there's the added bonus of having full-body front shots of the figure.
http://allxza.ninja-web.net/hobby/shmon ... eview.htmlIncidentally, one of the problems this Gigan has is one shared by a few other Bandai figures - the shoulderpads stick out to the sides instead of folding over the shoulders. Both US vinyls do this as do all the Japanese Bandais and the Banpresto, perhaps to facilitate articulation and easier assembly. The Chogokin takes the even odder route of compensating for the shoulder articulation by having the armor hug much closer to the neck instead, which further beefs up the look of the torso. The layered look of the MonsterArts shoulderpads seems to be the closest Bandai's gotten to getting it right. The only realistic large-scale FW Gigan vinyl that gets it right is the X-Plus, so X-Plus collectors rejoice!

The teeth look less conical now, but they're not nearly sharp enough and Gigan went through one too many teeth brightenings. They should have been closer to the beak color.
Gigan's flaws are there but are small enough to accept and still purchase. Preferably when Gigan is ten or fifteen bucks cheaper though.
