Hollywood is run by pedophiles, so the rumors are probably true. Oh well, he's a horrible director anyways.

Similar accusations were brought against Singer during the Apt Pupil shoot, though the charges were dropped. It's still highly disturbing.

Spider-Man & X-Men both are from long-established franchises whereas this GODZILLA is basically a clean slate. There's really nothing else like it out there and that alone may give it some more pull because a lot of average moviegoers may see it as something other than just another sequel/reboot/superhero film. (Not that it couldn't be easily shoehorned into any and/or all of those categories.) :D

If the movie is actually "good" (positive critical reviews like Avengers & Cap2 and, more importantly, positive word of mouth from the masses), then I predict a healthy theatrical run. I'm wondering... IF this film does well, when could we expect to see an offical (LP) announcement of a sequel? Also wondering what date do they have set for home release... usually around 4-6 months after the theater run, right?

Speaking of sequels... exactly how will the releasing studio change by Legendary Pictures from Warner to Universal affect any future G films??? Will there be legal entaglements between the studios over property 'ownership' or will it be an invisible transition? :?:

The only thing about that that seems off is that if a movie were 2 hrs and 15 minutes, the showings wouldn't be exactly 2 hrs and 15 minutes apart. They need time to get people out of the theater, clean up, and get the new people in. And show previews and such.

Wouldn't be terribly surprised if those are still placeholders we're seeing. The fact that the tickets are listed as "sold out," when that doesn't even make sense at this point (unless the loons predicting 1billion total gross are actually right), indicates to me that the website isn't actually ready for public viewing yet.

Either way, that sounds about perfect to me. Just a hair over two hours is just long enough to feel meaty and substantial. I'm so glad it's not a three-hour bloatfest.

Depends on your theater. Some already have them available for purchase.

If it is 2 hours and 3 minutes then that sounds like a pretty perfect length to me. These types of movies, when they're 2 hours and 30 minutes or more risk feeling too long, while if they're around 1 hour and 30 minutes they have the opposite problem. 2 hours is good.
