Just wanted to thank everyone on the support of this thread. I didn't know how much attention it would get when I started it, but I'm pleased to see that my fellow G-fans on here enjoy it. Thanks again, and the next image will be posted tomorrow evening.

Man, I made that too easy! Yup. It's the Mysterians. I've only watched this movie about two or three times, but it's one of the better Toho sci-fi fantasy movies made.

Jump! Jump! Ahhhh nevermind.

Well, this second Moguera didn't last very long.

I always thought the Mysterians had some of the best set pieces in the showa era.

That foot looks hairy.

Either King Kong vs. Godzilla or War of the Gargantuas.

Happy New Years Eve/Happy New Years guys. Let the countdown for G2K14 begin! Yep, it's Terror of Mechagodzilla. One of my all-time favorite Godzilla movies. WLVI Channel 56 had a world television premiere for this movie on a Friday night back in 1978, and it was a huge deal to me and my kiddie friends back then. We spent most of that next Monday talking about it in school. A very good Godzilla movie to watch, with a memorable musical score from Akira Ifukube that stays in your head. Lots of images for this movie... Enjoy!

I'm guessing that those two red orbs are supposed to be Mechagodzilla's eyes.

Probably the best Godzilla entrance ever!

When I slowed this scene down, it showed the house lighting up before Titanosaurus's foot crushed it.

Rip my head off this time why don't you?!

Toho's special effects mistakes involving Godzilla always seems to work out well on film in the end.

That's some good s**t man.

The next time you watch TOMG, look closely after Titanosaurus bites Godzilla's mouth and lifts him up in the air. You can actually see a tiny little drip (of blood?) drop out of Titanosaurus's bite marks on Godzilla's upper mouth, which I thought was a nice effect.

I love these fight scenes that were actually shot outside and not inside of Toho Studios.

Ever notice when Mechagodzilla shoots his revolving missiles, the missiles shoots out and down, not out and straight. Toho SPFX.

The famous "fake boobies" shot. Although I read about this scene growing up, I never saw this scene until the mid 90's when I got the Japanese version of TOMG on video as it was never shown on broadcast TV.

The Dynamic Duo.

See you in 9 years. I'm being forced into semi-retirement.

In 1975, at the age of five, I was first introduced to Godzilla when my Dad took me to a small local movie theater in Boston that was showing Godzilla vs. the Thing. I was instantly hooked. During that time throughout the 70's Godzilla was very widely popular as you could find or see him everywhere. TV, movie theaters, books, comics, toys, games, etc. When I was in Elementary school, there was one Godzilla item that was of very particular interest. A book. Not just any old Godzilla book though. This was Ian Thorne's (Movie Monster Series) Godzilla Book.To kids back then like myself, this one Godzilla book was like the Godzilla Bible. I must've looked and read this book 50 times in school. As did alot of my other friends also. We use to sit around a table just looking at this book over and over again, talking about anything and everything Godzilla in the book, and outside the book. And even though as I got older, to learn that this book had alot of discrepancies and misinformation, between the ages of 5-10, I didn't care. So to all of my fellow G-fans who remember this book at that time, and was reading it about once a week like I was, complete images from Ian Thorne's Godzilla Book.

I wondered for years who was ANZILLA and what he looked like. I later figured out that he was ANGILAS.

One of my favorite images of Godzilla at that time.

The same with this image.

The only time I have ever seen this still of whom I guess is RODAN?

Like some Godzilla fans back then, I was always under the impression that there was another King Kong vs. Godzilla movie that had Godzilla winning like the book said. Wrong! And if I remember correctly, the Ian Thorne King Kong book had the awesome picture of Kong swinging Godzilla by his tail. I loved that photo!

EDIT: I had to include this image even though it was in the Ian Thorne King Kong book instead. (and was in B&W)

The first time I had ever seen Gigan. I couldn't wait for the day to watch Godzilla fight him in a movie I hadn't seen yet at the time.

I hadn't seen either one of the Mechagodzilla movies yet when I saw this picture. You talk about being jacked up to one day watch Godzilla fight his robot double?? Man! And then I wondered what monster that was in the top right corner.

My elementary school had that book. I made sure to always have it checked out growing up. I coveted it and never wanted anyone else to have it. I was like Golem and it was my precious. It was the only Godzilla book I had ever seen.

That's neat. My elementary school had the King Kong book but never had the Godzilla one when I was there. I always wished they had it so badly. I DID find another Godzilla book at my public library once. I know it's been discussed on this site in the past but it seems pretty rare. It had a similar look and feel to this one (and was also all black and white) but had G85 on the cover and also featured a picture or two of Godzilla fighting Zone Fighter monsters inside.
