I do believe the first battle will be the airport scene between the crabby muto and Godzilla and I do believe it will be a short fight.
I also believe that the final battle will be one where Godzilla nearly buys it only to rally and win. That's a bit formulaic for a Godzilla movie but as I've stated, they do that similar to a Hulk Hogan wrestling match, the one you cheer for (in this case even though Godzilla is the anti-hero presumably, they want you to cheer for him) fights valiantly, then becomes subdued only to dig deep and show what they really are made of. A king may fall but never quits and never surrenders.
I've been thinking too about how to get a good reveal in a trailer and though I don't think this will happen I like this idea:
We see bits of the battle between Muto and Godzilla but only get a clear picture of the Muto, bits and pieces of Godzilla. Then at the end of the trailer. the military, perhaps after the small Muto is presumably stopped, turn their attention to Godzilla and light him up....through the dark and smoke we see the missile blasts and when they fade the light of the fire reveals Godzilla, unharmed....(This is not GINO clue 1) He looks like Godzilla to the layperson (This is not GINO clue 2) he lets out a pissed off roar and returns fire with a heat beam blast that obliterates the military (This is not GINO clue 3) cut to black and returns with one last frightening roar...end of trailer.
That should end any discussion (at least with the average person) that this is a real Godzilla movie and not GINO. The "fandom" will debate and fight and bicker but that's not the concern for profit and sales, it's the general public we need interest from. Period.
You must show no mercy, nor have any belief whatsoever in how others judge you... for your greatness will silence them all!
