http://www.slashfilm.com/snowpiercer-us ... mmer-2014/ Looks like a late June release (with VOD for those that don't mind dropping a bit more money to watch at home)
On a side note, I read the first volume of the US released Snowpiercer graphic novel... it was very... French... There were a lot of big ideas (both philosophically and science fictiony) but there was a (je ne sais quoi) nihilistic sense to the pacing.. its hard to picture it as a film although I guess I could picture it as a Wong Kar Wai film... so either the second volume will bring a better picture (volume 1 had a definite beginning and end, so i would guess that the characters in volume 2 are unrelated.. but it could be the same ones and it occur in parallel, or before, or even after).. I would imagine that the film takes a lot of the big ideas or referenced events and fleshes them out a lot more rather than focusing on the story presented in volume 1... Anyway, most of my excitement for the film stems from the director, so i'm hopeful still that it will be an incredible film.
