Probably the wisest decision they could have made (in terms of avoiding geek rage ala the casting of Ben Affleck). Instead of getting someone else to play Hal Jordan, they just get another actor to play John Stewart. Makes sense. Still I guess in the 21st century, we will never get the "Iconic" JL big SEVEN I remember (Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), Flash (Barry Allen), & Aquaman). Always have to change the characters to be younger, more gender or racially balanced to be PC...
Dont get me wrong. I loved the DCAU even substituing Jon Stewart, Wally West, & Hawkgirl. And the New 52 JL with Cyborg isn't bad either. Also I am aware that the lineup I mentioned is not the "first" incarnation of the JL, but it is the most iconic, and I'd just like to see it once if not in film, then in animation. I guess thats why I liked Avengers: EMH so much. They actually started with the true core group, then expanded from there. Before Jeph Loeb came along and ruined everything

.
There are no more good TV Shows, only ones that haven't disappointed me yet.
