on the discussion of the side open seam...how many of you didn't like Godzilla Junior? That figure had some looping seams all around the sides of its body construction. Seems to be less seams on the Goji 64, and the very upper portion of the Goji figure is where there seems to be torso movement (taking it away from the mid abdomen like what was seen on the Heisei Gojis).

EDIT: And all the talk about the seam, it was in the first pics we saw, but there was no complaint. I see it here on this pic too.

Click thumbnail...

and just noticed that Toyfreakz has the figure listed already (which includes free shipping)

The seam just looks a lot more obvious in the new picture than it did in the old picture.

Overall i still love the sculpt and will be picking it up, but i wonder what additional movement we will be getting out of these gills that go up to the armpits

I will say that the headsculpt in that above pic looks fantastic. I dunno, sometimes it looks off to me and sometimes it looks incredible. Maybe it's all in my head lol

Though I understand your concern Legion, but you will have some spaces in a larger figure I believe due to the way advanced articulation moves. If you opt for simple articulation, then you have nothing more than a Bandai or Y-MSF vinyl. It seems the larger the figure, the greater chance it will have some spacing segments. Except Biollante, which has most of its articulation in vines and moving neck and jaws. Nothing for moving legs or shoulders, so potential for gaps is greatly limited. The reason G94 had less gaps also shows how it had less mobility and tightness which some folks said they didn't like. Now the joints have allowed for more flexibility, but that means the suit will have some small gaps so the figure materials can really move. They aren't soft material products like the Micromen suits with figures inside...the material is harder. If it isn't humanoid like, then I suppose we have to just accept that there will be some gaps.
