Whenever I end up with a defective figure, I do my best to either receive a replacement parts/figure or return it if possible rather than settle for the crap lot I drew. Seeing as you're in Japan right now ebirahsmeg1, couldn't you contact Bandai about the issues you're having? I've received a replacement figure body through them (via Hobby Search) when the body of one of my SH Figuarts wasn't up to snuff.

Nothing excuses the fact that you got a crappy figure, but getting a fixed replacement figure could make all the difference.

klen7, Sakai did a lot of Showa sculpting for that one diorama line whose name I've forgotten right now, so I wouldn't expect that book to reflect solely on what it's possible for him to do. Besides, it's going to be Bandai's call on where the line goes next, not his.

Yeah but now with reports of Ghidorah's wings snapping off, is it economical and even feasible to have the figure shipped back to Bandai and then given a replacement figure? Most japanese companies are not really gung-ho about customer service outside of Japan. I know very few that would take the time and pleasure to do that for us North Americans.

The link above is RedZillaKing's own testimony from TK forums and his Ghidorah's broken wing problem. To make matters worse, somebody else on TK forums thats received their figure has also experienced a breakage on the right wing snapping off. This time presumbly right after taking it out of the package. That makes two out of four people we know in the west that have had issues with their Ghidorah's wings. This pisses me off quite a bit. I just went to the post office to pick up mine. I have to wonder whether it was a good idea ordering this figure?

Should I even open it? I probably will but I certainly dont feel very encouraged to do so with these nightmarish reports of wings snapping off. If my own Ghidorah's wings snap off as well I will probably throw a fit. I will probably end up just ending my devotion to this figure series by getting Burning G and G Junior. I'll call it quits after that.

It's probably because the joint is a fairly thin tab on a hinge. I'd just expect that it'd break if you aren't careful with it.

^ SpaceGodzilla is my favorite of the series by far, so that's probably a good move..
When will Bluefin start shipping KG in the US?
