I think the X-Plus MechaG is the best MechaG 74 figure I've ever seen. I don't see how you could be disappointed in the sculpt or paint. The Bandai MechaGs and other vinyl companies' MechaGs that I've seen all look like crap to me. Heck, I think all Bandais look like crap compared to their X-Plus releases. That's why I dig X-Plus. I don't want funky colored vinyl, I'd rather have my stuff be more movie-accurate with detailed sculpt and paint.

However I can see the appeal of Bandais and Marmits/M-1, etc. They look lovely in people collections when I see them, it's just not my personal taste. As another said, different strokes for different folks. Just depends what you're into.

Not your typical kaiju, but kaiju nonetheless. These might not appeal to most (or any) here, but WTH. Here goes...

Max Toy Co. mini Dragigus and Drazorus (beautiful paint apps on these):

Just got my pre-order of SIC Kamen Rider Super-1. Here's a review of this figure, with lotsa nice pics:

I only happened to stumble across this figure while Googling "Super-1" one lazy Saturday afternoon, because I really dig the show. Now I find out that it's the next to last in the Showa series of figures and everything else except Sky-Rider is sold out! Dang it!!!!!!!!!!! Now if I want to collect the older stuff (looking for Stronger w/bonus Tackle figure, and Amazon w/Jungler) I'll have to scour the web and probably pay highway robbery prices on eBay or elsewhere. Crap.

Oh well, at least I can still get Sky-Rider from this great series, and I already have my pre-order in for the last Showa rider... ZX. This Super-1 really is a sweet figure, and only makes me sadder 9and mad at myself) that I didn't know about this series of super-cool action figures sooner. D'oh!!!
