I think the X-Plus MechaG is the best MechaG 74 figure I've ever seen. I don't see how you could be disappointed in the sculpt or paint. The Bandai MechaGs and other vinyl companies' MechaGs that I've seen all look like crap to me. Heck, I think all Bandais look like crap compared to their X-Plus releases. That's why I dig X-Plus. I don't want funky colored vinyl, I'd rather have my stuff be more movie-accurate with detailed sculpt and paint.
However I can see the appeal of Bandais and Marmits/M-1, etc. They look lovely in people collections when I see them, it's just not my personal taste. As another said, different strokes for different folks. Just depends what you're into.
