I am into pro wrestling as well. I have been into it since about the same time as all the other hobbies I like (anime & Godzilla).
It started back in the mid '80s when I saw some Rock & Wrestling stuff either before or after WM 1. Then since we had TBS, I got interested in WCW. Then we moved to Atlanta, which was the hotbed for WCW.
I started attending live events, TV tapings, and even PPVs.
In fact I went to Starcade '92, and if you have "the best of Starcade" on DVD, you can spot me during the 2 matches from this event that they have on the DVD. I am to the far right of the camera, I was rather thin back then, and was rather tall as well. I think I was the only person that had a sign.
Anyhow I watched almost every Monday Nitro, and since we had odd cable at the time, I could start on Nitro and flip back & forth when Raw came on an hour later. There was also a local channel that had an all night Pro Wrestling show, which featured classic stuff as well as new stuff. Though it was rather hard staying up that late, since the Georgia Southern Wrestling show was rather dull.
Then after WCW folded, I went back to WWE. By then we had moved back to the Seattle area, so I attended a few Raws & SmackDowns, as well as house shows. Then I heard about an autograph session with Edge, and since I lived like 10 minutes from the place they had it I went. He was a cool guy.
Then pretty soon after that we got the big news about WM 19 coming to town. Of course I jumped at the chance to go. I also went to Fan Axxcess, but for some odd reason I don't think there was a Hall of Fame thing that year. I got pretty a pretty good seat to WM, but when they went in the floor I had to watch the screen. Since I was on the floor, about 20 rows back.
I have some pictures on Photobucket under EricDent7.
The next night I attended the Raw that was in Key Arena.
Had no idea that Goldburg was going to debut that night.
Again I got on the DVD of WM 19, since that debut is on the DVD in the special features. It also shows that autograph session, and a couple of Fan Axxcess things I was really near. Such as Trish getting owned on HCTP, & Booker T doing the "Sucka" thing.
I also spotted Brock Lesner in the ambulance after WM, since he knocked himself silly when he missed the SSP.
Anyhow I have this kind of odd habit of "cool" events happening when I was at the show such as:
After Randy Orton lost his WHC belt to HHH, Evolution had a party, with a huge cake. Of course Orton jumped out of the cake & attacked them.
Gene Snitsky debuts against Kane and "killed" Lita's baby. This of course started the oddest chant I have ever done. Baby Killler! clap clap clapclapclap!
The fake Kane shows up and chokeslammed the real Kane. People referee to him as "Jand" for some odd reason.
Kurt Angle got drafted to the new ECW brand.
Kevin Nash hits HHH from behind with a sledge hammer.
This was the most recent, and that Raw was the first one I had gone to in about 3 years.
BTW my old supervisor was also on Raw the time that Vicky Guerrero got totally booed out of the building, and Cena sang "deep in the heart of Texas". She is a very attractive lady, so it's kind of hard not to notice her.
Anyhow, thats about it. Obviously I have seen a few of the rather odd Kaiju Big Battel things via MTV & DVD.
