Survivor Series...

...meh...

JoMo loses (surprise, surprise), Beth Phoenix retains (again...no surprises).

Team Orton loses to Team Barrett...pretty surprising especially with Barrett and Rhodes besting Orton.

Orton is shaking that stigma of never putting others over lately. Looked like Sin Cara took a legitimate injury...

Henry Big Show was probably the worst match these two have put on thus far...and with Henry retaining by losing, I think we are gonna see this one AGAIN...ugh...

CM Punk won! Awesome! And it was a good match. Probably best of the night.

Rock looked good but the match itself was crap. Awesome Truth kicked Cena around for 20 minutes before Rock got tagged in and made the save and he won via: a PEOPLE'S ELBOW?!?!?! Really? Really?!? REALLY?!?! A people's elbow for the pinfall?

Not a terrible PPV, honestly, but that ending just left a bad taste in my mouth with its UBER predictability...I guess WWE thought that putting Barrett/Rhodes over was more than enough unpredictability for one night.

I kinda hope they are able to give an explanation and not just the one that we all know (it's probably his "farewell tour")...I'd like an actual storyline reason.

I also hope the chokeslame of Cena is more indicative that Kane is going to be a rogue monster and not JUST a heel.

I am into pro wrestling as well. I have been into it since about the same time as all the other hobbies I like (anime & Godzilla).

It started back in the mid '80s when I saw some Rock & Wrestling stuff either before or after WM 1. Then since we had TBS, I got interested in WCW. Then we moved to Atlanta, which was the hotbed for WCW.

I started attending live events, TV tapings, and even PPVs.

In fact I went to Starcade '92, and if you have "the best of Starcade" on DVD, you can spot me during the 2 matches from this event that they have on the DVD. I am to the far right of the camera, I was rather thin back then, and was rather tall as well. I think I was the only person that had a sign.

Anyhow I watched almost every Monday Nitro, and since we had odd cable at the time, I could start on Nitro and flip back & forth when Raw came on an hour later. There was also a local channel that had an all night Pro Wrestling show, which featured classic stuff as well as new stuff. Though it was rather hard staying up that late, since the Georgia Southern Wrestling show was rather dull.

Then after WCW folded, I went back to WWE. By then we had moved back to the Seattle area, so I attended a few Raws & SmackDowns, as well as house shows. Then I heard about an autograph session with Edge, and since I lived like 10 minutes from the place they had it I went. He was a cool guy.

Then pretty soon after that we got the big news about WM 19 coming to town. Of course I jumped at the chance to go. I also went to Fan Axxcess, but for some odd reason I don't think there was a Hall of Fame thing that year. I got pretty a pretty good seat to WM, but when they went in the floor I had to watch the screen. Since I was on the floor, about 20 rows back.

I have some pictures on Photobucket under EricDent7.
The next night I attended the Raw that was in Key Arena.
Had no idea that Goldburg was going to debut that night.

Again I got on the DVD of WM 19, since that debut is on the DVD in the special features. It also shows that autograph session, and a couple of Fan Axxcess things I was really near. Such as Trish getting owned on HCTP, & Booker T doing the "Sucka" thing.

I also spotted Brock Lesner in the ambulance after WM, since he knocked himself silly when he missed the SSP.

Anyhow I have this kind of odd habit of "cool" events happening when I was at the show such as:

After Randy Orton lost his WHC belt to HHH, Evolution had a party, with a huge cake. Of course Orton jumped out of the cake & attacked them.

Gene Snitsky debuts against Kane and "killed" Lita's baby. This of course started the oddest chant I have ever done. Baby Killler! clap clap clapclapclap!

The fake Kane shows up and chokeslammed the real Kane. People referee to him as "Jand" for some odd reason.

Kurt Angle got drafted to the new ECW brand.

Kevin Nash hits HHH from behind with a sledge hammer.
This was the most recent, and that Raw was the first one I had gone to in about 3 years.

BTW my old supervisor was also on Raw the time that Vicky Guerrero got totally booed out of the building, and Cena sang "deep in the heart of Texas". She is a very attractive lady, so it's kind of hard not to notice her.

Anyhow, thats about it. Obviously I have seen a few of the rather odd Kaiju Big Battel things via MTV & DVD.

Raw spoilers just in case

Cena comes out and tries to win over the crowd by cheap popping the city & wishing everybody a happy new year. Says he won't change anything about who he is despite the crowds booing the heck out of him. Says people spent their money can act however they want towards him.

Brodus Clay still has not debuted, despite John Laryngitis (his voice is just so darn horse) saying to him (on the phone) that he would.

Miz is scared of R-Truth, gets a match with Sheamus (that never actually happened) runs away into the crowd where R-Truth was. Runs back to the ring area to get Brogue Kicked, and then "get got" by the infamous water bottle to the head.

Divas tag match lasts maybe 2 minutes tops, what is the point?
For the record it was Kelly Kelly & Eve Vs The Bellas. Bellas won after Twin Magic.

CM Punk Vs Ziggler for the WWE title. Ziggler was doing pretty well, then Punk starts a come back. Of course then Laryingitis comes down to fix the turnbuckle pad that had come off. This of course pissed off Punk, who ends up loosing due to count-out (though King goofed later & said DQ). Ziggler stole the WWE title.

Punk is POed at Laryingitis and at the Royal Rumble it will be Punk Vs Ziggler with Laryingitis as the special ref. Punk says if he gets screwed he will treat Laryingitis as his "female dog".

Then the lamest return in the history. Yes it's Jericho who runs around the ring & does a bunch of trying to hype the crowd (similar to Hogan) and then leaves without saying a word on the microphone. He did look really good, and is totally ripped.

Then the main event. Cena, Big Slow, & Ryder Vs Swagger & Mark Henry. Kane was supposed to be the partner of Swagger & Mark, but he no showed.
Mark Henry & Big Show eliminate each other (it was an elimination match) then Ryder starts owning Swagger, Swagger comes back & puts the ankle lock on Ryder. Ryder makes it to Cena, Cena does the 5 MOD and wins.
Then Kane's music & pyro go off. Cena leaves the ring (Ryder can barely move due to the ankle lock) but Kane comes from under the mat. He beats up Ryder a bit, then hits Cena & puts that weird choke (cover the mouth with hid glove) on. Then he goes back in the ring and tries to drag Ryder back under the mat. Cena barely rescues him, then a huge fireball comes out of the hole in the mat. It was pretty cool.

Rather than address "It Begins" to start off, I'm going to comment on the Miz.

This guy is so good as a heel and hated so much by the crowd, that R-Truth, who was probably the #2 heel in the company when he got hurt can come back and attack Miz and people love it.

As much as I think Ziggler deserves a push, I think Miz should be around a championship.

Also, CM Punk defending his championship MID-SHOW?!?! I am just scratching my head like crazy. When a 6-man tag match between a few mid-carders, Cena and Kane is the headliner and the WWE CHAMPION is mid-show...befuddled.

As for "It Begins" - The camera-shake thing was STUPID...then the blackout was really cool...then the payoff was remarkable...then it went on a little too long...I get wanting Jericho to come off like a jerk and be a heel, but it was ultimately fairly underwhelming.

The good news is that they haven't totally botched Kane's return here. Having him refuse to participate goes COMPLETELY in this character of "hate everyone, teamwork is the ghey, hustle loyalty respect is for babies, etc"
