Hmm...Goblin and Carpenter really have made most of the iconic horror movie scores. Carpenter I knew of, but I never realized how many movies Goblin scored.
Horror movies scores not done by either of them that I still like would have to include Alien and Cronnenberg's The Fly, hell most Cronnenberg movies have excellent scores.
Speaking of Cronnenbery, have you seen Dead Ringers? The Fly, The Brood, Scanners and Videodrome get a lot of love but I prefer Dead Ringers to Scanners or The Brood honestly. Scanners is ok, but it's iconic for the fx, and well, Michael Ironside.
I dream of a buddy cop movie featuring Michael Ironside and Ron Perlman lol. The villain would be Gary Busey naturally and the film would have to be directed by Takashi Miike
