Prejudice can cloud one's opinions. You're reading way too much into this, Jelly. Seriously. G-Fest is probably one of the smallest conventions I've participated in, so I'm not looking for any bragging rights, just because I was asked by a personal friend (Jeff) for some advice. All I did was say that Jeff's got some cool stuff in the pipeline — there's nothing veiled about that, except to generate some interest in what he's doing. Making claims of elitism, just reeks of knee-jerking.
And another thing, the comparison of convention advertising then-and-now is not "weak", it's historical fact. Fans today are just spoiled and think that everything should be handed to them on a silver platter or they will complain and bash it. It's the Burger King "Have It Your Way" mentality. Are you even going to G-Fest?
Again, if you don't like it — talk to Jeff. It's his show, not mine. Most people outside of G-Fandom have NEVER heard of G-Fest — believe it or not...
