I got mine in the mail today, and I watched GOTU tonight. I'm no professional video critic, but I honestly think the quality is fantastic. The video is excellent, and the audio great as well (although, as stated in at least one review, lacks a lot of subwoofer action). As also stated, one drawback is the onscreen text in general is not translated (credits, newspapers, etc.). I can only confirm the GOTU title screen, and a lot of the location texts on G2 are subbed (I skimmed through G2 to assess the quality).
I remember someone mentioned there were no menus for chapters and setup. The main screen offers just a selection to go to either film. However, when the film is playing, just put the pop menu button to bring up a nicely done menu at access any of the 15 chapters, and it shows the audio options. Alternately, when the film ends it goes to the main menu, but with the setup/chapter options showing instead.
The subtitles, as mentioned, are a tad higher than most would prefer, but are very clear and legible.
Between the price and the quality of this thing, I FULLY recommend it. Can't wait to see what they do with Gamera 3.
