I may catch it on TV sometime, but to be honest,I didn't even really like the original (not a fan of the gore horror) /quote]

The original didn't have ANY gore in it.

WHY?!

As you may have heard, there is a remake of Highlander in the works being done by Summit Entertainment with Peter Davis producing. Come back and discuss your own take on what you think the film should be or browse the other forums and catch up with old friends and maybe even make new ones.

No. No. No. No. No.

A remake of Rocky Horror is a go-nowhere endeavor. The film has a cult following that spans generations, probably the biggest of any cult flick out there. (My mom went to midnight showings of it in the '70s just as I have today.) A remake is absolutely pointless because the original still sees nationwide arthouse screenings on a weekly basis and has for 33 years now, and it will continue to do so for decades to come. I've been worrying for a while that some studio would try to remake this, but now I can rest easy knowing that it's being done by MTV. It'll probably only air on the channel some Friday night and not even get a theatrical release. In any case, the only people who would even care about The Rocky Horror Picture Show in any form aren't mainstream scum, they're the kind of people who would actually value the original for what it is, so I don't think there's anything to worry about here. This remake has inevitable epic fail written all over it.

Man, no band should be blowing up high schools and pissing principals off except the Ramones.

I love Howard Stern. I'm curious how he'll do this. I know he's big on The Ramones so I don't see why he wouldn't use the original music. Plus, he's a dead-ringer for Joey! He'd do just playing him.

Info on the Suspira remake (by Pineapple Express director David Gordon Green):

-Natalie "Wooden as an oak tree" Portman will star

-This director is an idiot with a condescending attitude. Here's some quotes from Fangoria:

"I would love to get every geek that loves torture porn and every old lady in line to see PHANTOM OF THE OPERA to come and have this insane experience.â€
