Right now I'm all doped up on percocet but when I get a chance I'll post pictures of the new batch of translucent Marmit and Gigabrain figures I got yesterday.
EDIT: Ok I took a few quick pictures. I'm feeling a bit better but this recovery process is still going to take a little while. I'll get back on the Vinyl Figure Awards as soon as I can.
First up are Marmit translucent Superfest exclusives of the 1971 Godzilla and 2004's MH Hedora figure. The Hedora is nothing to get all excited about but the glitter embedded in the vinyl is pretty cool. I'd like the Godzilla more if someone had checked their references better and placed the damaged eye and hand on the correct sides of the figure. Marmit has forgotten to include these details on all their 1971 Godzillas and when they finally decide to add them they do it incorrectly. It figures, right? Still, they're pretty cool toys and I'm glad they didn't cancel them after all.
Gigabrain never ceases to amaze me, which makes sense now that I know they're a subsidiary of Marmit. Even when they're just doing exclusives they impress me to no end. The 1965 Godzilla isn't my favorite Gigabrain figure, but I must admit that these two translucent figures are really cool. I especially like the purple figure, which works better with the blue, red and gold paint than the green version does. But I'm glad I have both figures.
And finally here are two more exclusives of my favorite kaiju figure of 2007, and we all know which figure that is. Gigabrain can really do no wrong when it comes to this Gigan figure, and I plan on buying any and all variants of it they end up putting out. I don't know which color I like more, but they both work well. I'm dying to know if Gigabrain has any new sculpts in store.
Ok thats all for tonight. When's my next percocet dose?
