I love Mondays!!
Well not really, but it always seems like there's something interesting waiting for me after work on most Mondays, probably because of postal backups thanks to Sunday.
I've never gotten an M-1 Lucky Bag before, usually because I either miss out on them or they don't include toys I'm all that interested in. But one came my way recently that I did end up liking, for various reasons. And it includes 5 figures...
Lets get these two guys out of the way right now. On the left is a glow Hipportio Sejin figure, and on the right is an unpainted yellow Peter figure. I don't really know much about these two, aside from them appearing in the Ultra series. But they're both really cool, and since I'm really taking a shine to glow figures, the Hipportio is most welcome.
These three figures need no explanation. We've got (from l to r) an unpainted black Titanosaurus, an unpainted pink Hedora and a glow Bullmark Angilas. Apparently with this lucky bag I had a choice between a glow Gigan and a glow Angilas. I had to go with the Angilas, since it's one of my favorite Bullmark sculpts. The black Titanosaurus, actually, is an extra from another lucky bag set. The one from the set I recieved was sent back to M-1 for a special painting commision that was offered with this set. I don't know how long that's going to take but expect a picture when it arrives.
And finally here are the standard versions of Giganbrain's 1962 and 1964 Godzillas. I do like the sculpts. I've seen tons of Kingojis and Mosugoji figures lately (Monster Heaven, M-1, Vinyl Paradise, Bandai, Para Baby, Pilot Ace...) so these two don't really offer anything all that new. But the sculpts are strong regardless. The paint jobs bore me to tears though, they're exactly the same. This is one instance where I probably would have preferred the glow versions.
