Could God himself microwave a burrito so hot that not even he could eat it?

He had been diagnosed with Alzheimers', right? Maybe it's good he didn't have to suffer through indignity.

James was a good man. He seemed like a guy whom anyone could sit down with, and in five seconds, immediately have a friendship (barring Klingons, of course) with. Whenever he was in a scene in the first series or in the movies, he pretty much stole the show. Whether decking Klingons or mourning his nephew's sacrifice, James could reach into the audience and warm their hearts. Even a simple scene in Relics, just sitting around Jean-Luc and drinking, you could see it as a kindly, old grandfather relating to the generation that would carry on his work.

Even though we may never see him marching in another Scotish Pride parade or a new Trek, we can still see his legacy and remeber the happiness he brought us.

On behalf of all those whose veins run with the blood of Scotish warriors, I salute you James and I wish you happiness now that your trek is over.

God Bless James Doohan and his loved ones

Trekkies is on this week again sometime, I love that story he tells about the suicidal fan, he pretty much saved her. What a good man. He'll be missed.

Neo, you know he wasn't Scottish right? But he did say he drank enough of their liquor to qualify lol

Being in Seattle I've been inuslated and totally unaware of the rampant anti-canadian sentiments. Heck any country whose national broadcaster is helping to flip the bill for the new Dr. Who series can't be bad! :P

Anyway, by an amazing coincidence, today is the day my GF and I planned to go to the SF museum, and just so happens they are holding a Memorial Service for Mr. Doohan at 7pm tonight. I'll be there.

One of the greatest moments of any of the Star Trek movies - Scotty talking to that computer (I think it was an old Mac) when they are forced to go back in time to the 1980s. Classic scene! RIP Jim.
