- Casacra - ISBN: 4773002921 - 359 pages - 2940 yen
Comments: A really great trade-size hardback book extensively covering Godzilla history up to (but not including) GFW.

- Shogakukan - ISBN: 4091014984 - 104 pages - 1800 yen
Comments: The latest in Shogakukan's annual volume of fantastic, full color Godzilla film books. Complete front, back and side views of each of the monsters, all of the mecha, behind the scenes material, and frame captures galore. Always the "one to have"

- Shogakukan - ISBN: 4091156916 - 17 pages - 420 yen
Comments: Large size, heavy stock and short children's picture book. For the most part, similar to what we saw published in TV Kun over the summer.

- Shogakukan - ISBN: 4091156924 - 17 pages - 420 yen
Comments - like #1 above

- Kodansha - ISBN: 4063045579 - 120 pages - 1365 yen
Comments: Haven't received mine yet, so I'm not sure. Probably a more general, picture heavy Godzilla book, large size like above

- Mook - ISBN: 4896918762 - 96 pages - 1050 yen
Comments: The Mook books are usually very good, but I was disappointed that GFW had to share space with AVP this year, so I passed.

The other two worth mentioning are the Toho SFX GFW books, one regular edition (32 pages) and one CD-ROM Special Edition (48 pages plus CD-ROM). As far as I know, you can only purchase these at theaters, and eBay or dealers are your best bet (try searching for the word "program"). Although you might think they are the same except for the CD-ROM, they aren't. The contents are entirely different. The CD-ROM version is great because of the scene-by-scene frame grabs and the contents of the CD itself, and the regular edition is full of larger photos and specs on each of the monsters and mech. Don't wait too long as these often become hard to obtain after a month or so goes by.

- Shigeru Kayama - Chikuma Publishing - ISBN: 4480420347 - 447 pages - 945 yen
Comments: republication of original adpatations of his stories for the films Godzilla, Godzilla Raids Again, Varan and others.
