    Madman Acquires Final RUROUNI KENSHIN Films -- KYOTO INFERNO / THE LEGEND ENDS

    Following the breakthrough success of the first RUROUNI KENSHIN (??????, 2012) blockbuster, Madman is very pleased to announce the acquisition of the final two films in the RUROUNI KENSHIN live-action trilogy, KYOTO INFERNO (????????????, Rurouni Kenshin Kyoto Taika Hen, 2014) and THE LEGEND ENDS (?????? ??????, Rurouni Kenshin Densetsu no Saigo hen, 2014) for release in Australia. After his ordeal with Jin-e Udo, Kenshin Himura`s (Takeru Sato) brief period of peace is interrupted by the presence of Hajime Saito (Yousuke Eguchi), the former captain of the Shinsengumi who assumed an alias in Tokyo’s police force. With Megumi Takani`s (Yu Aoi) freedom in the balance, Kenshin learns that he is being enlisted in a covert operation in the city of Kyoto. There, Kenshin deals with a small army under the leadership of a Hitokiri Battousai replacement who was deemed a great enough threat to the Meiji government’s stability that they attempted to burn him alive: Makoto Shishio (Tatsuya Fujiwara). The cast for the two films also includes Emi Takei (FOR LOVE`S SAKE), Munetaka Aoki (OPPAI VOLLEYBALL, Ryunosuke Kamiki (THE KIRISHIMA THING), Tao Tsuchiya (ULTRAMAN ZERO: THE REVENGE OF BELIAL), Yosuke Eguchi (SAMURAI COMMANDO MISSION 1549), Yusuke Iseya (KAIJI 2) and Maryjun Takahashi KIKAIDER -THE ULTIMATE HUMAN ROBOT-). RUROUNI KENSHIN: KYOTO INFERNO / THE LEGEND ENDS will come to Australian cinema screens in 2014. More details to be confirmed soon.
