    ULTRAMAN FESTIVAL 2018 Opens in Sunshine City, Ikebukuro on July 20

The ULTRAMAN FESTIVAL (?????????????), the unmissable family event that had attracted a total of over 4.7 million visitors, is coming back to Sunshine City, Ikebukuro. This year will be the 28th Ultraman Festival to be held in Tokyo. Experience the world of Ultraman with a whole host of activities, photo shoot locations, and events that will attract all families across three generations. These include a “3-D display”, which you cannot only see, but also experience with all five senses; the “Ultra Live-Action Stage Show”, featuring spectacular LED screens and wireless control lights; the “Gigantic Diorama”, a fun-filled delight for both children and adults; a “meet and greet” section where you can meet the heroes anytime... and much more!

    The announcement event for ULTRAMAN FESTIVAL 2018 was held on Saturday, May 12, at the fountain square of Sunshine City Alpa B1. The Japanese comedy duo Bakushomondai ("LOL Problem") was inaugurated as the official supporter, with Hikaru Ota and Yuji Tanaka attending in Science Special Search Party uniforms as special squad members. They appeared on stage together with the 6 Ultraman Brothers (Ultraman, Ultra Seven, Ultraman Jack, Ultraman Ace, Ultraman Taro, Zoffy) and Kaiju. The two comedians are genuine fans who grew up with the Ultraman series. Yuji Tanaka has made an Ultraman diorama at home using soft vinyl figures. Hikaru Ota likes strong monsters such as Red King and Zetton. ULTRAMAN FESTIVAL 2018 will be held at Sunshine City Bunkakaikan building, Ikebukuro from Friday, July 20 to Monday, August 27 (the festival will be closed all day on Tuesday, August 7).     ? 2. Fascinating Ultra Live-Action Stage Show* At the Live-Action Stage Show, the Ultra Heroes fight fierce battles with Kaiju. The audiences will support the heroes with their radio-controlled “Ultra Flash” light. The programs will be changed for the latter half of the festival... • Part 1: Friday, July 20 - Monday, August 6; "Brother - The Bond of the Brave" (Brother ????????) • Part 2: Wednesday, August 8 - Monday, August 27, "Make the Era! Legendary Ultra Brothers" (??????? ?????????) Advance reservations for the highly popular front section Ultra Seat tickets are now on sale. The number of seats has been increased to approximately 220 (in the previous year there were about 120 front seats)! In addition to the Ultra Seats, there are approximately 300 standard seats available for each show. *All photography, video and recording are prohibited during the Live-Action Stage Show.

    ? 3. Exhibition Areas, etc. This year, we have taken the exciting “Gigantic Battle Diorama” to the next level, with countless photo spots. Let’s slip into the world of Ultraman and take some pictures! ? 4. “Meet and Greet” with the Heroes, and Items Limited to the Festival During the festival visitors can enjoy “Ultrashot”, an opportunity to take photos with the heroes at any time. They can also make their one and only original movie with “Narikiri Movie” (in which the visitor acts as an Ultraman and fights with Kaiju). Meanwhile, there will be an “Ultraman Department store”, where limited figures and other Ultraman-related goods from all over the universe gather, and “Ultraman Ice Cream”, the tasty original ice cream treats created in the image of everyone’s’ favorite heroes.     About Tsuburaya Productions

    Tsuburaya Productions Co., Ltd. has created dozens of heroes and other characters, including Ultraman, who have been loved from generation to generation.
