Tsuburaya Productions Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and COO: Masayuki Nagatake) has decided to hold the ULTRA LEAGUE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2026, the first world tournament for the ULTRAMAN CARD GAME (ウルトラマン カードゲーム, Urutoraman Kādo Gēmu), on May 9th and 10th , 2026 at Sunshine City Exhibition Hall B in Ikebukuro, Tokyo.
The Ultraman series will celebrate its 60th anniversary on July 10, 2026. In this memorable year, the ULTRAMAN CARD GAME will hold an official world championship where "Ultra Leaguers" who have won the preliminary rounds from 23 countries and regions around the world will compete in heated card battles to become the best in the world.

The number of participants is determined by the number of players in each country and region. In addition, some of these players will be invited to the world tournament as "sponsored players" with travel expenses and tournament participation fees covered by Tsuburaya productions. The domestic preliminary rounds are scheduled to start at stores nationwide from Friday, August 15, 2025. Please check the ULTRAMAN CARD GAME official website for details on how to participate in the preliminary rounds. In addition, we plan to hold a public viewing of the event. Details of the viewing will be announced on the official website at a later date.
In addition, ahead of the world tournament, Tsuburaya will establish the "Ultra League Judge Program" (ウルトラリーグ ジャッジプログラム, Urutora Rīgu Jajji Puroguramu). Online exams will start in August 2025.
The ULTRAMAN CARD GAME is a new trading card game inspired by the world of Ultraman featuring playability appealing to both adults and kids, as well as collectability with specially designed cards by renowned creators from around the globe. The game also offers several rare cards to collect from artists and designers who have worked on the Ultraman shows and movies. The game was released simultaneously around the world on Friday, October 25, 2024 in 4 languages, a first in the history of trading card games.

"ULTRA LEAGUE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2026" Emblem
The emblem is designed with a shield on a sphere reminiscent of the Earth. The diverse colors express the concept of "UNITE - Go Beyond Boundaries." (UNITE – 境界を超えよう。, UNITE – kyōkai o Koeyou.), established in the Ultra League Charter, a code of conduct for enjoying the Ultraman Card Game.
■ Ultra League Judge Program Established

In advance of the World Championships, we will establish the "Ultra League Judge Program". This program is a certification system to create an environment where all Ultra Leaguers can participate in official and authorized tournaments in a fair and enjoyable manner.
Only certified judges who meet the passing criteria separately set by our company will be qualified to be involved in tournament management. Certified judges will cooperate in the development of the Ultra League and the creation of a healthy competitive environment as "game arbitrators". Those who obtain judge qualifications will receive special benefits such as judge-only PR cards.
Role of Certified Judges

・Manage the smooth progress of the tournament
・Prompt response to any problems that may arise
・Provide appropriate support and advice to players
Schedule
Tsuburaya Productions will conduct an online exam starting in August 2025, and those who pass will be certified as judges. Those who successfully obtain the qualification may be asked to participate in future tournament management as judges.
Emblem
The emblem is based on the motif of a scale, which symbolizes fairness, but is also designed to give off a sense of warmth. This emblem will also be used on PR cards that will be distributed only to judges.

About Tsuburaya Productions
Tsuburaya Productions Co., Ltd. has created dozens of heroes and other characters, including Ultraman, who have been loved from generation to generation.
