■ Introduction
The world-famous Chainsaw Man gets its first movie adaptation! The immensely popular “Reze Arc” finally hits the big screen!
Debuting in 2018, the manga Chainsaw Man has surpassed 30 million copies in cumulative sales and is currently serialized in Shonen Jump+ (published by Shueisha). Chainsaw Man was created by the visionary manga artist/author Tatsuki Fujimoto, whose manga Look Back (ルックバック, Rukku Bakku) was adapted into a theatrical animated film that was a major hit in 2024 and winner of the “Best Animated Feature” award at the 48th Japan Academy Film Prize.
Chainsaw Man is the story of Denji, a young man who worked as a Devil Hunter for the yakuza in order to pay off the debt he inherited from his parents. He is betrayed by the yakuza betrayed him and left for dead. As he was losing consciousness, Denji’s beloved chainsaw-powered devil-dog, Pochita, made a deal with Denji and saved his life. This fused the two together, creating the unstoppable Chainsaw Man.
In October 2022, the TV anime adaptation of Chainsaw Man by studio MAPPA (known for JUJUTSU KAISEN and ATTACK ON TITAN: The Final Season) premiered in Japan. It has been distributed in over 200 countries and regions to date, earning high praise not only domestically but worldwide.
Now, the “Reze Arc,” a popular storyline from Chapters 39-52 of the manga, has been adapted into a feature film that depicts Denji's encounter with the mysterious girl Reze with scaled-up animation and adrenaline-fueled battle action.
After creating “KICK BACK,” the opening theme for the CHAINSAW MAN television series, musician Kenshi Yonezu returns with the movie's theme song. The newly composed “IRIS OUT,” created specifically for this film, injects a fresh pulse into the world of the REZE ARC.
The curtain finally rises on a spectacular bloodbath engulfing everything—love, desire, humans, and demons alike!

■ Film Synopsis
Denji (Kikunosuke Toya), a young devil hunter who became the “Chainsaw Man” with a demon's heart, works for the Public Safety's Anti-Demon Tokyo Special Division 4.
While floating on cloud nine after a date with his idol Makima (Tomori Kusunoki), he gets caught in a sudden downpour. Taking shelter, he accidentally meets a girl named Reze (Rena Ueda) who works at a nearby cafe. She smiles kindly at Denji, and the two quickly grow close.
Following this encounter, Denji's everyday life begins to change...
Reze has stepped into his world - a brutal war between devils, hunters, and secret enemies - and Denji now faces his deadliest battle yet, fueled by love in a world where survival knows no rules.

★Denji (CV: Kikunosuke Toya)
A young Devil Hunter belonging to Public Safety's Anti-Demon Special Unit 4. Originally living a poor life as an independent devil hunter, he was killed by his employer's betrayal. He was resurrected as “Chainsaw Man” through a contract with Pochita, the “Chainsaw Devil,” and joined Special Unit 4 after being scouted by Makima. He is honest about his desires. He likes Makima, who was the first to be kind to him, but he also begins to take an interest in Reze, whom he met by chance while sheltering from the rain.
Kikunosuke Toya Comment:
I absolutely love the Reze Arc! Ever since reading the original manga, I thought, “Wow, this relentless, emotionally charged, dizzying series of events would be incredible as a movie!” so I'm thrilled it's becoming a theatrical release we can watch in theaters! Reze is coming...! Reze is coming~! I'll give my all to the scenes where you'll feel butterflies for Reze, and to the high-IQ battle scenes only Chainsaw Man can deliver! Stay tuned!!!!!

★Chainsaw Man (CV: Kikunosuke Toya)
Denji's form after becoming the “Chainsaw Man” by contracting with Pochita, the “Chainsaw Devil”. He attacks demons by slashing them with chainsaws sprouting from his head and both arms.

★Pochita (CV: Shiori Izawa)
Pochita is the “Chainsaw Devil”. He lived happily despite his poverty. When Denji was betrayed by his employer, Pochita gave Denji his heart, becoming part of his body.
Shiori Izawa Comment:
I've been waiting for the Reze Arc! To see the Chainsaw Man in action again, and on the big screen at the theater no less! I'm super excited too! Denji-kun's heart-fluttering youth? And those battle scenes—I wonder how they'll look animated!? I'll be rereading the original manga over and over while waiting for the release. Let's get excited together! Woof!

★Makima (CV: Tomori Kusunoki)
Makima is Denji's superior; the woman who heads the Public Safety's Anti-Demon Special Unit 4, She is also a Devil Hunter directly under the Chief Cabinet Secretary. She encountered Denji while heading out to subdue the “Zombie Devil” and recruited him into the Public Safety Bureau.
Tomori Kusunoki Comment:
To be able to see the Reze Arc in theaters...!! It's one more thing I wish I could tell my past self. As a fan myself, there are so many scenes I want to enjoy on the big screen. I was drawn into Makima through the Reze Arc, so I performed hoping everyone would feel the same way. Please look forward to the screening!

★Aki Hayakawa (CV: Shogo Sakata)
Aki works in the Public Safety's Anti-Demon Special Unit 4 as Makima's subordinate and is Denji's senior by three years. She harbors intense hatred for the “Gun Devil,” which led her to become a Devil Hunter. She has contracts with the “Curse Devil” and the “Future Devil.”
Shogo Sakata Comment:
In CHAINSAW MAN - THE MOVIE: REZE ARC, Aki Hayakawa often acts alongside the Angel Devil. But actually, this story directly follows the end of the TV anime storyline—it's what happens the very next day. In the midst of such a hectic daily life, what he has lost and what he has gained, I tried to portray him with the hope that it would exude even a little bit.. And above all, as a fan of Chainsaw Man myself, I'm thrilled to be able to watch it in theaters. During the voice recording sessions, I was of course shown the line art and other source materials. Even then, I felt something close to certainty: “This is absolutely going to be incredible...” Please look forward to it, everyone.

★Power (CV: Fairouz Ai)
Power is a “Blood Fiend” and a member of the Public Safety's Anti-Demon Special Unit 4. She is a “Demon Person”—a being created when a demon possesses a human corpse. While such beings are normally exterminated, she possesses relatively high intelligence and rationality among Demon Persons. Makima has therefore assigned her to receive Devil Hunter training. She is partnered with Denji, but tends to be self-centered and prone to losing control. Her cat, Meowy (Nyako), is her only friend.
Fairouz Ai Comment:
The Reze Arc is a series I read the original manga for, always hoping to see it animated someday. So I'm truly thrilled it's finally getting a theatrical release! It's just so incredible in so many ways, I can only say: you have to see it for yourself lol. Look forward to an even more powerful Chainsaw Man!

★Kobeni Higashiyama (CV: Karin Takahashi)
A shy new recruit working in the Public Safety's Anti-Demon Special Unit 4. Mentally fragile, but possesses high physical ability. Her contracted demon is unknown.
Karin Takahashi Comment:
When I read the Reze chapter in the original manga, I thought, "What beautiful scenes that stimulate all five senses!" I can't wait to see that story in the cinema! I put my all into every moment of my performance as Kobeni! Higashiyama Please enjoy the beautiful visuals of the movie version of CHAINSAW MAN: REZE ARC!

★Violence Fiend (CV: Yuya Uchida)
A member of Unit 4. Normally, becoming a demon makes one weaker than their demon form, but he's too powerful even as a demon. To control his strength, he's forced to wear a poisonous mask at all times. Under no circumstances should this mask be removed.
Yuya Uchida Comment:
This is the movie I've been watching on my PC at home, thinking, “Ah, I really want to see this in a theater.” The sense of speed, the editing, the power, the beauty... experience it all on a screen so big it spills out of your field of vision. Headphones or earbuds? That's a waste. Bathe your whole body in the massive sound. This is what it means for pictures to move! Please experience CHAINSAW MAN - THE MOVIE: REZE ARC in theaters. LOVE & PEACE

★Reze (CV: Reina Ueda)
A mysterious girl who takes a keen interest in Denji after meeting him while sheltering from the rain. She works part-time at the cafe “Nido,” and Denji also starts frequenting the cafe.
Rena Ueda, Comment:
I headed to the studio excitedly to record the promotional video first, and during the recording, I heard Toya-san's voice acting into the microphone next to me, and exclaimed, "It's Denji! The real Denji is here!" Before I knew it, the recording was over. The staff's respect for the original work and their strong commitment to creating the film have left me feeling overwhelmed. I'm sure the main story will be delivered in a wonderful way, so I hope you will also support CHAINSAW MAN - THE MOVIE: REZE ARC.

★Beam (CV: Natsuki Hanae)
The “Shark Fiend” who was a member of the Public Safety's Anti-Demon Special Unit 4. He can swim on any surface, including walls and ground, and can briefly transform into his demon form. He's hyperactive.
Natsuki Hanae Comment:
It's an honor to see the world of Chainsaw Man on the big screen! Swimming! Flying! Screaming! Explosions! Hot! Full power!!! The recording sessions for Beam were noisy and fun! An exciting development awaits everyone! There's no doubt you'll say this after watching it! This movie... Right!! Right!! Right!! Right!!

★Angel Devil (CV: Maaya Uchida)
A member of the Anti-Demon Special Unit 4. A unique demon who harbors no hostility toward humans, but touching her directly drains one's lifespan.
Maaya Uchida Comment:
The theatrical version of CHAINSAW MAN: REZE ARC is packed with everything I truly wanted to see. The visuals, the sound, the direction... I'm incredibly excited. I can't wait to see the finished product! I'm counting down the days until release. I bet you feel the same way, right? Playing the Angel Devil involved so many emotional shifts—it really stirred me up. Please look forward to it!!

A demon with a head resembling an aerial bomb. In combat, she attacks by detonating explosions originating from herself.

★Kishibe (CV: Kenjiro Tsuda)
Captain of Public Safety's Anti-Demon Special Unit 4.
Kenjiro Tsuda Comment:
Chainsaw Man finally hits theaters. I'm incredibly happy to be part of this captivating work blending comedy and drama once again. Beautiful visuals, powerful music, and the voice actors' performances on the big screen. This is exactly the kind of movie you should see in theaters. Please come see it. I look forward to its release.

★Vice Captain (CV: Hidenori Takahashi)
Deputy Captain of Public Safety's Anti-Demon Special Unit 2.
Hidenori Takahashi Comment:
This was my first time participating, and I was completely overwhelmed by the world of Chainsaw Man. Each character is so vivid and distinct. I was cast as the Vice Captain, and I hope my character will leave a lasting impression on everyone who sees it. The film is packed with action scenes, and the powerful dialogue exchanges are also something to look forward to!

★Nomo (CV: Kenji Akabane)
Aki Hayakawa's senior at Public Safety's Anti-Demon Special Unit 2.
Kenji Akabane Comment:
I'm Kenji Akabane, voicing Nomo in the theatrical film CHAINSAW MAN - THE MOVIE: REZE ARC. As a reader of Chainsaw Man, Nomo... Nomoa... Ah! That guy...! I recognized him, but I never imagined I'd get to play him myself (laughs). Even during the ADR stage, the visuals were already moving around a lot, so I'm really looking forward to seeing the finished product. Nomo is also a character with a great senior vibe, so I'd be thrilled if you could catch him on the big screen. Thank you for your support. Kon!

★Typhoon Devil (CV: Eri Kitamura)
A demon possessing extraordinary destructive power.
Eri Kitamura Comment:
I'm Eiri Kitamura, playing the role of the Typhoon Devil. I've personally read the original manga, so I'm truly honored to be cast in this adaptation! We figured out the direction of the performance during the recording sessions, so I'm incredibly excited to see the final result!
The Typhoon Devil's performance is impressive, but above all, the sheer dynamism of the visuals is overwhelming!! Everyone, please look forward to it!

★Mysterious Man (CV: Kenji Nomura)
A man seeking the “Chainsaw Heart”.
Kenji Nomura Comment:
I'm Kenji Nomura, participating as the Mysterious Man. This was my first time experiencing Chainsaw Man, and as expected, it's packed with action and features amazing character emotional expressions. Recording was fun with everyone I worked with! This is definitely going to be an exciting work!
Everyone, please see it on the big screen at the theater! You'll feel the immersion~!

Theme Song: "IRIS OUT" by Kenshi Yonezu
After achieving significant success releasing Vocaloid songs under the name Hachi, he began activities under his real name, Kenshi Yonezu, in 2012. Beyond music production, he also creates album cover illustrations and music videos.
In 2023, his theme song “KICK BACK” for the TV anime Chainsaw Man achieved Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), marking the first time ever for a song with Japanese lyrics.
In 2025, he embarked on the “KENSHI YONEZU 2025 WORLD TOUR / JUNK” promoting his latest album ‘LOST CORNER’, drawing 440,000 attendees across Japan, Asia, Europe, and America.
His latest releases include “Plazma,” the theme song for the movie MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM GQuuuuuuX -BEGINNING-, and “BOW AND ARROW,” the theme song for the TV anime MEDALLIST.
Kenshi Yonezu Comment:
It's an immense honor to be entrusted with the music for the movie version following the TV anime. I created it while constantly keeping the pages featuring the original Reze open, staring at them all day long. Thank you for your support.

Ending Theme: "JANE DOE" by Kenshi Yonezu × Hikaru Utada
The miraculous first collaboration between Kenshi Yonezu and Hikaru Utada has been realized with the ending theme “JANE DOE" that echoes the fate of Denji and Reze!! This song was written and composed by Kenshi Yonezu, with Hikaru Utada participating as the vocalist.
Kenshi Yonezu Comment:
I didn't have a specific singer in mind when I started writing this song, but as I worked on it, I felt more and more that only Ms. Utada could sing it. I just had to ask her. I remember being utterly stunned and moved the moment her voice—melancholic yet blowing through like the wind—hit the track. As someone who creates music, I feel incredibly honored for this opportunity.
Hikaru Utada:Comment:
Upon receiving the offer, I felt unsure of the outcome but was determined to take on the challenge. As fellow singer-songwriters pursuing our own identities, we share a deep mutual understanding. Yet we also grappled with the contrasting nature of our respective expressions, feeling our way forward. I hope listeners can sense the new facets of each other that emerged through this process.
