    MONARCH: LEGACY OF MONSTERS Receives 2026 Emmy Award Nomination For Visual Effects

    Apple has scored a historic 89 nominations across 15 programs for the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards, and leads as the network with the most nominations in the Outstanding Drama and Outstanding Comedy series categories, respectively, earning top program nominations for comedies WIDOW’S BAY, SHRINKING, and MARGO’S GOT MONEY TROUBLES, alongside dramas PLURIBUS, SLOW HORSES, and YOUR FRIENDS & NEIGHBORS. 

    Apple also received multiple nominations in the Outstanding Special Visual Effects in a Season or Movie category. Among the series to receive that nod was the second season of MONARCH: LEGACY OF MONSTERS, which ran from February 27-May 1, 2026.

    The 78th Emmy Awards, hosted by Emmy Award winner Mariska Hargitay, will air Monday, Sept. 14 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT from the Peacock Theater at L.A. LIVE., airing live coast-to-coast on NBC and streaming on Peacock. The Creative Arts Emmy Awards will take place on Saturday, Sept. 5, and Sunday, Sept. 6, 2026.
