    Rentrak Announces Worldwide Box Office Results for Weekend of June 8, 2014 Source: Rentrak Corporation Official Site: Godzillamovie.com With $48.2 million in ticket sales, 20th Century Fox’s THE FAULT OF OUR STARS topped the United States box office for the weekend ending June 8th. The Tom Cruise sci-fi adventure EDGE OF TOMORROW took third place with a disappointing $29.1 million, but played well overseas to bring in an additional $82 million internationally. Rounding out the top five were MALEFICENT, X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST and A MILLION WAYS TO DIE IN THE WEST. In sixth place both domestically and internationally, Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures` GODZILLA earned $5.95 million in the US and another $5.4 million from foreign territories. To date, the movie has hauled in $394 million worldwide. This coming week should be an important one in GODZILLA`s theatrical run as the film opens in China -- the second largest theatrical market -- on June 13th and is expected to cross $400 million worldwide.
