The Daimaru Matsuzakaya Department Store in Nagoya will be hosting the "Great Golden Exhibition 2025" (大黄金展2025, Dai kogane-ten 2025), a large-scale exhibition and sale of gold products, from June 4th to June 9th, 2025. Gold is currently a hot topic due to its ever-increasing value! On May 8th, it reached a new all-time high of ¥17,259 (Approximately $120.11 USD) per gram. At this event, many exclusive and new products will be introduced.
The "Great Golden Exhibition" will feature the first-ever display of a golden statue of Godzilla. Created to celebrate the monster's 70th anniversary, the "Gold Leaf Godzilla," (金箔ゴジラ, Kinpaku Gojira) is an impressive golden work that is 2m tall, 1.8m wide, 1.8m long, (6.6 Feet Tall, 5.9 Feet Wide, 5.9 Feet Long) and uses a record-breaking 5,500 sheets of gold leaf.
