I love the movie as is. I love the weirdness and some of the stuff you have cut are some of my favorite scenes.

^^Again, what's the big deal? It's not like you're ever going to have to watch his cut. What's so sacred about it that he can't have any fun? Sheesh.
And I don't understand the arbitrary distinction that some people have implied wherein it's okay to edit a movie like vsSpaceGodzilla but not vsHedorah. So, because you like a movie a lot it's "shameful", but if you think it's a poor movie it's an "improvement"? Stick to your guns, people.

WHOAH, first of all I never said it was ok to edit Godzilla v.s. Spacegodzilla. The only ones who should edit it at all are the ones who created the movie.
This isn't your movie, so spending this much time and energy on re-editing it isn't appropriate.
You are learning to do film editing the same way P-Diddy learned to write songs.
Anyway, I have to go. I allways thought the Mona Lisa could use a some cleavage and dark eye-liner.
