I sadly have no idea what you're referring to, but I'm certain you're right. The previous year's Mechagodzilla movie was chalked FULL of references to other films (i.e. "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly", "The Street Fighter", James Bond, etc.), so why should "Terror of Mechagodzilla" have been any different. In fact, I know for a fact that Titanosaurus jumping around with his hands behind his back is a reference to something (though, what, I've forgotten) because Nakano has said so in interviews.

A for this G'54/Terror of MG thing... listen to this, Tomoyuki Tanaka's manadate when this movie was made was that Godzilla had to be portrayed as he was in the original film. So, folks... if you ever wonder how Shodai-Goji would fight other monsters, take a look at "Terror of Mechagodzilla".

I'm sorry. There just is no way I will ever really like this movie no matter whether it's a grainy Pan & Scan or crisp, clear Letterboxed edition. There's is nothing anyone can say or do to get me to like this movie because of him:

I loved seeing Jet Jaguar in the movie. I suppose it helps to be a fan of Ultraman and his brethren.
