Either way this proves that Monster island wasn't "destroyed" in Megalon. Do they specify what island that scrap between Godzilla and Zone takes place on?

I don't think Monster Island was completely destroyed, but the more I think about it with my mind comparing the island in MG74 and Ogasawara in DAM, I think it was rendered mostly barren and in the end uninhabitable following the shock/fallout noted in Megalon. I'll have to look at MG74 again sometime later.
Doesn't 'Megalon' say that Monster Island is in the South Pacific ? Because I seem to recall that the string of islands that make up Ogasawara is somewhat close to Japan... G-fan had a map a few years ago.. hmm... time to do some studying.
