Here is the main reason I think a DVD release is the wrong way to go. Even if it is just an extra to another movie, some jerk would get the big idea to boot G4 alone and make a lot of money off it, while Hayashiya, who made this film out of his own pocket as a labor of love, makes nothing. The realization of this scenario would be a sickening injustice.

I think it would only work for Hayashiya if Daiei cut him a great deal, like compensation for all production costs and then some. Until then, he should just stick to what he's doing--free public exhibition. An internet download would just be an extention of that. If Hayashiya doesn't make good money off his work, no one else should. [/quote]
