I've noticed, reading this thread, that in trying to dispute the opinion of another, many people like introducing the wedge issue of someone's age. Real mature, no doubt.

And I love it when people make a demeaning comment about younger fans and then say, "No, I wasn't talking about him", even if that person is a younger fan. Quit it with the damn "blanket insults" already. They don't help anyone, and they don't prove your point.

It's a sad, sad day when a movie appreciation discussion can turn into a multi-page flame war because some people are so insecure about their own beleifs that they have to force them upon someone else. I guess you can call it the "extreme right" of Godzilla fandom.
