I was fortunate enough to attend the first 2 AFFE's and would have been to the third, but unfortunately my car was in the shop. So instead I went to G-Fest that year, which was my first, and I had an enjoyable time( I enjoy any chance I get to show off my models) but I must say that I still regret to this day missing out on that last AFFE show. To me, G-Fest had TOO many people, I felt like another face in the crowd, whereas at AFFE, with a smaller crowd, it had a more "intimate" feel to it which I really enjoyed.Plus the guest line-ups were great! Don't get me wrong, if it wasn't for work,and trying to find someone willing to babysit my pain in the butt dog(I still love him, though) I'd be there in a heartbeat. As others have said, the opportunity to meet and hang out with fellow fans is a great experience, and the folks at G-Fest are very friendly. Oh well, I've still got all those Godzilla movies coming up in N.Y. to look forward to...

Wouldn't it be funny is the O'Hare Holiday Inn was an alcohol free hotel, and that was the reason JD chose it? :lol:

Still sucks that the hotel doesnt have accessible AV jacks on the TVs.
