Alright. Well I think the beams never bothered me much either. But probably when I started buying these films (except for G85 which I had as a toddler) over a decade ago I was still a little kid and always wanted to see Godzilla shoot his beam more often, so it was really cool. IN G84 he hardly did at all...so with GvB I was in for a real treat..like yes!! Not to mention the awesome nuclear pulse. And like you it is also my favorite suit with the possible exception of Desugoji, but thats hardly a normal godzilla suit. Then GvKG had a gret mix of beams and tooth and claw to me..and I really saw this before GvB..and it left me wanting to see both the sequel and the prequel.having an awesome ending. GvMothra is probably when the beams started to come to often, though I really didnt notice then. The is the last hesei film I only have dubbed and quite frankly the dubbings bad and makes me dislike the characters more than I probably would otherwise. The ending is practically a rehash of the ending to the previous film..and it really didnt leave my mouth watering for the sequel like its prequel did. Mothra looked nice and colorful, but also too much like a poodle...
While I didnt like Rodans new design in GvMG much Godzillas new beam was ultra cool in the end. Super MechaGodzilla was also pretty cool. Baby Godzilla while a bit weird was a bit more tolerable than Minira. And him being Rodan's *brother* was also a cool touch. The Godzilla suit this time was a little too bulky though. I think this and SG is where Hesei Godzilla really gets a reputation as a fat cow..
GvSG was better than I expected from the horrible reveiws that were out back in 95, and I enjoyed it a bit. Though it was flawed and hindered from achieving its full potential. The final battle was pretty cool, and the characers werent bad. Especially how Gondo's freind kept cursing at Godzilla, though I dont think his injection to Godzilla's *Achilles Heel* would have worked.I wish they showed Godzilla trying to release, little goji from his prison.

And GvD was a great conclusion to the series. An awesome score, great kaiju designs. It was nice to see some of the returning cast. Godzilla should have killed Destroyah though...and Destroyahs chest beam should have been shown, because he sort of because Godzilla annhialated him a little too easily (though SX3 delivered the final blow, making its role a bit more pertinent), then theres junior at the end..wouldve been cool if he shot down the Super X 3 to boot. Not to mention the final end credits..which were cut from the dub.
Thank You Universal for your Generosity! and SFJ for running these contests!
