Regarding you guys that were talking about Angilas getting trounced by MG in his debut film, you have to remember that Angilas was off his game. He thought he was fighting Godzilla and then by the time he realized something was up, it was too late and MG had gone into full Sonny Chiba mode.

I feel Angilas would have done much better against MG in say, Terror of MG, had he known what he was up against from the get go.

To be honest, I just got done watching the R2 and I think Terror of Mechagodzilla is just perfect on it's own. There are so flaws but I think it's a great film.

as big of an Angilas fan as I am I actually went with Rodan.
When I didnt know anything about the hesei series (except G85) in 94 and I first read about GvMG 93 I was like...woah cool Rodan gets to fight MechaGodzilla!!! Thats gotta be awesome..
little did I know that it wasnt the same evil MG and Rodan was hardly his former self.
Angilas got to fight MG in the previous movie too, and while Id like to see him get revenge, Rodan would be pretty cool in this movie. And Im not that obsessive anyway. I'd also like to see Gorosaurus in this film. He made a great team with Godzilla in DaM so this couldve been like seeing the start of their freindship as well.
