1. Mosu-Goji

Gotta agree with Ang here; the suit is remarkable for such an early, prototypical work. It has a memorable design that gives Goji personality and often makes him look more like a living beast and less like a suit than many later costumes. The moving jowls, while an accident, are a nice touch that I'd like to bring back. Mosu-Goji's sleek, bell-shaped body is a strikingly towering sight from the front; the grey "eyebrows" add a little spice, too.

2. Daisenso-Goji

Maybe I'm unfairly biased because I like the movie, but the Daisenso-Goji is pretty cool. A little deformed looking, but far from the child-tramatizing mutant that is Musuko-Goji. The suit was nice and manuverable, too.

3. DAM Goji

Can't think of it's proper name at the moment, but the DAm suit has a very long neck, a feature that while it looks bad on some suits, works very well here. Also very loose and movable, but looked bad in every movie after DAM and GvsH.

I'm going to have to go with the muppet version of Godzilla. That's a true kaiju hero right there buds!

The King-goji is my favorite by a bit. Followed by the one from Destroy All Monsters and the Mosu-goji. Really, the only suit that looked bad was from Godzilla Vs. The Sea Monster. It looked like it went through hell and back.

I don't think it's the "best" -- that would be '62 -- but I have to name Megaro-Goji as my "favorite" suit of the Showa era, though I'm thinking of the suit as it looked in TOM, not Megalon.

Love the KKvsG suit. Very unique and reptilian in my opinion. Not so hot from straight on, but from the sides it's a very intimidating and beautifully sculpted design.

'73-'75 was the suit I "grew up with" and always make me nostalgic. The Son of Godzilla suit is the worst of the bunch.

I really like the one with the long tail and those spiky things on his back. That's the best one. Heh heh heh.
Does anyone else listen to Kajagoogoo's "Too Shy" and think of "Save the Earth?"
