^ Awesome. Did you get the original 2003 CD or the two-disc edition from Toho's Soundtrack Perfect Collection?

^The original release. It feels pretty comprehensive. I didn't notice any significant cues missing, plus it includes some unused material, kaiju sound effects, and a bizarre alternate arrangement of Mothra's theme.

I was keeping an eye out for the perfect collection box set too, but the one time I got a notification email that Mandarake had a copy, someone else bought it in the five minutes it took me to try and buy it myself!

I downloaded all of the Soundtrack Perfect Collection CDs way back when but I don't own them, so I'd forgotten how oddly that particular box was structured. I just looked it up again and Final Wars has three discs of music in that set but each CD case has room for just two discs, so the second disc in the Tokyo SOS case is actually the third Final Wars disc. Tokyo SOS itself is still one disc in that set and it has only one new cue, the background music from the sendoff party scene. The major differences from the prior CD release are that each cue is presented as its own separate track and the unused cues are sequenced among the actual movie cues according to where they would have been used in the movie.
