I love Half-Price Books:
Granted, bookstores and video stores in general are my weakness, but used stores like Half-Price are particularly exciting because it's so much more of a gamble as to what I'll find. I have not seen
Animatrix,
Lord of the Rings, or
Dragonslayer, but I'm pleased to be able to at my convenience now for merely $3-5 each!
Ice Age is one I kind of took for granted, being popular and everywhere for quite a while; but apparently the Blu-ray skimps out on special features, so I got a craving to find the special edition DVD set if I wanted to own the movie. Lo and behold, there it was!
The Jungle Book seems hard to find on Blu-ray these days, and it's one of my favorites from Disney; so getting it at about $15 here sounded good.
Little Shop of Horrors, I've seen before, but not the director's cut - another surprise find for a real bargain price! They actually had season 2 as well for
Babylon 5, but I had to compromise eventually; sadly this fine show doesn't seem to have any home video upgrade on the horizon.
I also spent a bit to get this:
Is it a little overpriced? Probably; but
A Silent Voice is easily one of my favorite movies now, and Right Stuf did an excellent job with the presentation here. I'm excited to dig into all the special features, physical and digital.
