Is there any way of getting this film, whether American or Japanese Subtitled? I would like it on DVD, but at this point I'm not picky. It's the only G-Film I've failed to see, and It's driving me crazy!

PlayAtari2600,

The only legitimate copy available is the Toho Region-2 release in Japan, which doesn't contain English subtitles. However, if you have a DVD-ROM in your PC then you don't need to worry about that...

First, pickup a copy of the Region-2 release from somewhere like or - it carries a hefty price tag of around $55. Checkout of the disc if you want.

Then, go and checkout over at TM.COM, which contains everything you need to know on how to subtitle your newly purchased GODZILLA RAIDS AGAIN DVD. At the moment I'm currently working on subtitle script for GODZILLA and GHIDRAH. The script for GRA was graciously written and provided by Battra92.

I remember the last time Godzilla Raids Again aired on TV. Summer of 1995 on...the Disney Channel! Far cry from what that channel airs today. The only way Godzilla would show up on the Disney Channel now would be if he guest starred on the Proud Family or Kim Possible or something.

I really liked Godzilla Raids Again, unfortunatly I've only seen the dubbed version. I'd really like to see it [and the other G films] in their unedited/undubbed forms. Despite the flaws in the Gigantis cut you can really tell it's a solid and enjoyable story.

I eventually tracked down a VHS copy 3-4 years ago. But it was being sold as Gigantis, the Fire Monster, I went ahead an ordered it anyways since I'd been trying for over a year to find the film.

To my dismay when I got the tape it was in some yellow w/ black patterning generic slipcase and what appeared to be computer printed stick-on labels on the tape itself; it was only after I'd had the tape a few days that the thought struck me that the copy I'd purchased may have been from an unlicsensed home-video distribution. I've not ordered from that online movie dealer since, though I have checked their website from time to time and it seems they no longer offer the Gigantis tape.
Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men?
