^A while back, before it became apparent that Godzilla 2 would be Ghidorah TTHM Redux, I felt they'd save King Ghidorah for a potential Destroy All Monsters down the line. I still think that's in the cards, but I suppose they'll have to have a new opponent for all the monsters to team up against.

An original creature? Mechagodzolla? If Wingard directs he'll probably lobby for Hedorah!

i would hope they do not kill off Ghidrah off in this movie ,perhaps have come back in godzilla 3 as a evolved and more powerful destroyer of worlds.

Doesn't Legendary only have the rights to make 3 Godzilla films? I'd say Godzilla kills Ghidorah and goes on to battle Kong in the third film with them probably getting nuked which is the most likely scenario IMO.
