Really loving the final shot looking up at Godzilla with, apparently, the POV looking up from a car on the road parallel to him going in the opposite direction. It evokes a similar scene in Gamera 2.

Still wishing they'd flexed creative with that damned roar. Why recycle a sound effect from the 1970's? Why recycle at all? Create a whole new sound from the ground up. We know Toho has a longstanding history of refiltering or outright reusing old kaiju sounds, but does coming up with new ones really cost all that much extra?

If I were a betting man I would bet $100 that the roar we are hearing in these ads won't be in the movie. Doesn't really make sense. Considering how down to the wire this movies production has allegedly been they probably only started the final audio mix this month.

Blue atomic breath seems like it would really clash with this color scheme they have going. (maybe it will look good?) I'm curious what the real color will be.

I can see it going either way. There are plenty of trailers for past Godzilla movies that featured monster footage with different sound effects than the final scenes. On the other hand, the roar they've been playing in the trailer and this killer new TV spot is classic, iconic, and a nod to the Showa Series. I wouldn't be surprised to hear it and other stock sound effects in the film itself.

I would have gone with an update of the '54-'55, '84-'91 vocalizations, myself, but I think the '62-'75 roars will work fine.

Godzilla really looks shark-like in those tight shots of the side of his head. Partially the shape of his head, partially the fish eyes.

I've been very impressed with the footage I've seen so far. The effects have been consistently beyond what I thought they'd be, and while Godzilla looks awkward from some angles he looks real good from others.

Can't wait to see the film! Hopefully we'll have a distributor soon.

The CGI while not perfect, I'm ok with it. Toho has done waaaaaaay worse CGI before.

We've got more movement out of Godzilla in this trailer. I wonder if the fairly static shots in the first trailer were a result of just those particular shots being the only ones fit to show at that time? Really dig that lost shot, which shows Godzilla's bioluminescence at night - like a cross between the Meltdown Godzilla and the PacRim kaiju!

Well this movie has really tore Tohokingdom apart. Every week now there's someone who has read the script or has spoilers and someone else bashing them and calling said perain a liar.

Glad it's more peaceful and speculative here.

As for the new tv spot it looks like the tail and legs are all that moves.

After two tv spots, a trailer, and that one thing that was just a gif of Godzilla walking through the water (the still is being used in all the new size charts popping up), am I allowed to be concerned that no parts of Godzilla move except that ludicrous tail and his thunderous thighs? Or is that still overreacting?
