Alright the CG movement is a bit jerky. Assuming these aren't garbage shots just being used in an ad.

*edit* I'm not completely convinced this gif below is 100% CGI. The tail is obviously but the whole body makes me think the puppet made the cut for a couple of shots.



This last shot better be something they slapped together with a koala for the ad because the scale is really off...

Godzilla looks like a giant walking charcoal sperm. Seriously, that is ugly as hell. I was already on the edge for the design, but this is just an abomination. It's like an abortion gone wrong. Not a fan of it at all. Also, no Japanese person has any right to hate on the 2014 design.

That certainly isn't a good angle for him, but I've liked other footage of Godzilla from different angles so I'm not writing this design off. I quite like the composition of the shots as well as the integration of the location footage and special effects... I mean, it isn't Hollywood quality, but considering the usual limitations of Japanese digital effects these are suprisingly decent.

Considering there are shots in that commercial that substitute the koala in shots we've seen of Godzilla from the trailer is it safe to assume the koala's foot smashing into the shoreline is a doctored shot of previously unseen Godzilla footage?

It's CGI. It looks decent not in motion but not great when in motion...and that's with only minimal movement, which is what has me worried. We're only seeing these shots where he's hardly even taking a step. Either that's really all he does or the shots with more range of motion look atrocious.

I'm growing used to this photo. I wish he had bigger chest, shoulders and arms but I still think its an intimidating design and is disgusting in a good way. That said to all the people that have compared him to a penis... y'all have some weird looking penises.
