I loved the idea, but I'm also pretty stoked for this movie no matter what. Typically I would want a MONSTA FIGHT, but 1. We've gotten and will continue to get that with the U.S. series and 2. This design is so unique that I could watch it just sort of walking along a hillside for 30 minutes and be enamored. HE'S SO BEAUTIFULLY AWFUL LOOKING

A synopsis of the film was released along with the Hong Kong trailer. From what can be gathered from the translation, the film is definitely centered around the re-armament of Japan, and relations with world powers.

Guys, I've been bit by a bug tonight. I don't know if it's from the fake plot synopsis that came and went or this super-vague HK synopsis that leaves something to be desired. I don't know if it's because I've been trolling through paranormal boards again and am in an /x conspiracy mood, but I do know that right now I feel something akin to a small obsession, because I was seriously looking all over the net for any new tidbits.

As obviously fake as that fake synopsis was (I could tell even as I was reading it, it was fun. I want to be taken to the pre Final Wars/Yahoo Group days again. I want something to chew on. Somebody Photoshop something, for God's sake.

We are a little over a month away from the film opening, and yet all we've seen is one trailer. Am I remembering wrong, or did the 2K movies made more noise this close to release? More publicity, trailers, and tie ins. Well, there is the Evangelion thing.

I haven't seen anyone else pick this up yet, but supposedly if this gets released in the US, we are looking at 2017 per New World Cinema Facebook page (which I saw via TK). I'm sure other formats will be available before then, but I would obviously support the US release if and when it happens.
