^Wow. That is, like, way way way better than anything else we've seen for this movie. I actually laughed a couple of times and there were some cool looking creatures.

Is it bad that I think Hemsworth was funnier than anything else in that trailer?

THR:

Marketers have come to rely mostly on what insiders call the three main genres: Face-off, Giant Logo and Giant Face. But the 30-second "living" poster for Fox Searchlight's 'The Birth of a Nation' is bucking the trend.

An interesting, and I think fair, summation of the circus surrounding the film:

http://www.vox.com/2016/6/30/12027882/g ... exism-sony

Basically, you have your blatant sexism, folks who feel like they've been cheated out of the oft-promised Ghostbusters III, those against remakes in general and especially ones of stuff they like, and then the clunky trailers on top of that creating a unique perfect storm of negativity.

^That was great!

So much better than that horrible Fall Out Boy cover we're getting - the one with the much less terrible Missy Elliot rap in the middle... honestly, they should have just blown up the Missy Elliot part into an entire song,

"My kids have never seen the original Ghostbusters. They like [this cast], and they are really excited to see the movie."

Seems to me like his kids are the film's target audience.

The off-kilter music of Gatsby was one of the things I actually liked about it. Same with Django.

I still can't see myself in a theater watching this, not with my disdain for 3/4 of the cast (or I guess 3/5 depending how big a part Hemsworth has), my distaste for Feig's previous films, and my disgust (okay, not actually DISGUST but I thought it'd be cool to have three "dis" adjectives) at the trailers thus far.

But I probably have upgraded my stance to a soon-after-release home video viewing

Those review titles don't jibe with the leaked observations I was reading the last night or two.

From the review many of the "jokes" hinge on (nothing specific, but spoiler tags just in case)

And more specifically (involves climax of movie, but I didn't read it in the leaked observations so I don't know if it is accurate but definitely seems like a spoiler)

Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men?
